After winter comes summer, which means there is a need to reconsider your skincare. In the cold season, our skin suffers from frost, wind, dry indoor air, lack of sunlight, and a sharp temperature difference. In summer, the opposite – the main negative factors are high air temperature, often also high humidity and intense ultraviolet radiation.

All these negative factors can cause increased fat and sweating, pore enlargement, dehydration of the skin, sunburn, and hyperpigmentation. Therefore, in the summer, you need to adjust your care in such a way as to protect the skin from such negative environmental effects.

Face cleansing

One of the main steps in facial skincare is cleansing. It is necessary to clean the skin regularly at least 2 times per day – in the morning and in the evening, but in the hot season, due to increased fat and sweating during the day, there may be a need for additional cleansing. If there is no way to wash your face, then you can cleanse your skin with wet wipes, tonic or mineral water, and again apply a light moisturizer, and makeup, if necessary.

Day face cream and makeup

In summer, you should give preference to light textures and minimize the number of layers of your makeup. If in cold weather we can apply day cream and fix it all with powder to protect the skin, then on a hot summer day, the skin will thank you if you restrict yourself to a light moisturizer and loose powder. Or a BB cream only, or fluid with SPF only. The more layers your makeup has, the more the sebaceous and sweat glands work.

Those, who have, dry or normal skin can use light emulsions and fluids in the summer. If you have oily skin, it is better to use gels, self-regulating serums, or light emulsions with a matting effect.

It’s better when the summer cream contains not only moisturizing substances – urea, hyaluronic acid, collagen, etc., but also antioxidants.

You can try our awakening eye cream. It combines powerful ingredients with collagen, Aloe Vera, and peptide technology to improve and smooth the sensitive eye area, visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles and dark circles.

Extra care

Peelings for home use should be done regularly in the summer and even more often than at other times of the year. This especially concerns those, who have combination and oily skin. You should include in the skincare gels, serums, and masks, which contain not only moisturizing and protecting the skin substances, but also components that strengthen the vascular wall, reduce redness and have an anti-edematous effect. For example, extract of arnica, horse chestnut, ginkgo biloba, panthenol, etc.

Forever Living Products Company offers an Aloe Vera bio-cellulose mask, which fits every contour of the face and allows the serum to absorb more deeply to help moisturize and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
